Hello FI readers, welcome back!

It’s back to school week. That means crowded stores as backpacks and school supplies go flying off the shelves. For the young ones, rompers, jumpsuits, maxi dresses and off the shoulder dresses will be saved for evenings and weekends as uniforms and dress codes are embraced once again. And for us educators it’s back to walking into the classroom at 6:30 a.m. Where did Summer go? Have a great school year everyone.

What is it about pencils? Wasn’t I just gushing about pencil skirts a couple weeks ago (here) and today it’s all about a dress. A pencil dress. What is it going to be next? Thank goodness there’s no such thing as a pencil shirt or I’d be all over that too, hehe.

A listers and fashion influencers love curve hugging/enhancing dresses and so do I. You? They are feminine, classy and chic. What’s not to love? Pair with ultra high heels for an elongated look. Wear it to a wedding, or a cocktail party, or even in a professional setting, a pencil dress will look the part and have you far from blended in. My kind of dress, different is so beautiful.

Today I’m collaborating with Vindictive By D Anthony to show this bomb dress with it's slim fit silhouette that is very flattering and feminine. It hugged every curve of my 125lbs to create a beautiful hour glass figure of the most perfect, the most beautiful, and the sexiest mold aka a woman’s body. Ummm, my body. Made out of beautiful white neoprene scuba fabric and silk, this dress has very clean lines and is impeccable. Clean. The ultra elaborate and voluminous statement making sleeves you’d agree is the highlight of this quintessential piece. The star of the look like I always say, hehe. Boy did I make a confident statement in this attention grabber. 

The designer behind this brand is D Anthony. He is as much a dress addict as I am a shoe addict and has a penchant for designing high fashion / avant garde pieces. The kind that leaves jaws hanging down for a hot minute. He styled me for my birthday party at the Bellagio hotel in fabulous Las Vegas a few years ago and I kid you not, jaws dropped. Not quite sure if they’ve been picked up yet, hehe. His Instagram handle is @vindictive_by_d_anthony. I will be providing some coverage of his latest collections in the near future. Fringe has been making it’s case lately in fashion. From the run ways to high street, fashionistas have been showing off their flair for fringe. In dresses, shoes, bags, belts, tops, bottoms and even jewelry. Fashion has been completely doused with fringe. A hot pink bag and a pair of colorful fringy heels completed my look. Considering how big the fringe trend is, I think it’s so funny that this is the only fringy piece in my closet. Whattt??? How about you? Been fringing a lot lately?

This look would work for an outing or an event. If you’re thinking 9-5, then it would be safest to pair a pencil dress with classic pumps. Black or brown will get you the most mileage. Tan too of course. And umm, definitely tone down the sleeves, hehe.
