Spring sprung in case you've just crawled out of hibernation, Ha! The Bay Area weather has 'not so shockingly' been a roller coaster, 70s one day and dipping to 50s the very next even with bright sunny skies. Deception at it's best! With lots of rain too and gosh how I relish every drop that lands noisily atop the awning right outside my bedroom window. Music to my ears. Sheer delight. My bed beckons. Zzzz.... until the 5am alarm rudely interrupts the bliss. Then it's work, home and the cycle repeats.

It's my favorite time of year!
It's also that time of year when the 'do I wear a jacket today or not' dilemma peaks. It's also the time of year marked by cherry blossoms appearing are all over, everything you can think of blooming, birds chirping, layers gradually being peeled off. And 'skin' is in once again meaning the legs must be shaved, annoying allergy symptoms are here and so is Easter

I'm not sure how the date is decided but Easter's late this year to every teacher's and students of course (PUSD) chagrin having to work a long stretch through March and well into April before Spring Break. It's finally here and I plan on enjoying my well deserved time off albeit being very short.

Enough of the gushing about me, what have you been up to? And what are you doing on Easter Sunday?

"If I had my way, I'd wear a dress like this on a daily basis. Complete with a fancy fascinator of course".
It's safe to say that skater dresses have become a fashion staple. They are versatile enough to be dressed up as shown in these pictures, or dressed down for Summer with gladiators, a sun hat and killer sunnies for instance. An addition of tights and thigh high boots finished with a chic jacket will make you Winter ready.

Regardless of your body type, you'd find that skater dresses are very flattering and quite easy to pull off. They create the legs for days effect because of their mini length and capture the image of multifaceted femininity, playfulness and innocence.
I am a fan! You?

Whatever your plans are for Easter, be it going to service, brunch with family or 'linner' over at a friend's, staying stylish is a no brainer and what better than a comfortable Ankara skater dress to keep you looking impeccable. It's a perfect piece for parties and even a date night. I accessorized my look with a fascinator hat, a pair of lace black ankle boots and a black clutch.

If this flirty lil dress speaks to you, hit the folks at Ife Amitie. All you need to pull it off is a hint of a rebellious attitude, :). Thank me later.

Have a fantastic Easter!!!!

  2. What is Ankara here? Ankara is the capital city of Turkey. Is there any belonging with there?

  3. I love skater dresses but I don't think I ever saw an Ankara print skater dress. It's fabulous. I love how you dressed it up with heels and a fascinator. You look fantastic.

I'm not exactly sure how long my spring break is going to be....but even a shorter break is lovely! I agree about skater dresses having that innocence and sweet vibe, that's what I love about them. Plus, they are really comfy. As I said, I really like how you styled yours. Here weather has been quite unpredictable too but I don't really mind. Mediterranean climate is mild, so it would be super spoiled to complain about spring being a bit cold and rainy. It's all part of the fun.
