The Tale of Red

You know I’ve had an itch to wear red a lot lately but red on red on red! An overdose of drama and glamour. An aesthetic delight. Bold, fiery, bright and beautiful if I say so myself, (I said that here too, hehe). Ok ok, how about - RAVISHING. SEXY. It’s been nothing short of an amazing month, a celebration of me, a celebration of red. 

Can I just gush some more? This look in my opinion is so absurdly wonderful! Stellar! Divine! Perfect! Jaw droopingly beautiful! Speaks volumes without saying a word. I could go on and on. How else would you describe it? Total score right? Thanks to my friend Dwight of Vindictive By D Anthony for this piece. I honestly won’t mind waking up like this every morning. On matching red luxurious beddings drowned in lots and lots of frilly red pillows. A fresh scent from a bouquet of long stem red roses filling the air. Gosh how I love red roses. And how enchanting the color red is becoming from where I stand. I feel me drifting off in a red world. Eyes shut with only red in vision. Come back Idu! Hehe.

Wearing one shade head to toe isn’t a no-no, it’s actually encouraged. How I love a monochrome look and how I have mastered the art of colorful dressing but never feel like red is my thing. But I've seen monochrome red looks appear so impeccable. If you choose to, you may tone reds down with neutrals to avoid looking over done. I did, with the lip color.

The month that comes 'in like a lion and out like a lamb' is coming to a close. I chose to begin and end my birth month dressed in red. Like I stated earlier, it’s been an amazing March despite being a lil sick two weeks ago. Thanks again for all the goodwill.

Heading out on vacation to Istanbul and Santorini tomorrow and look forward to having great Spring Break getaway with my friend. 

You know what else I look forward to? Drinking wine! I drink a glass of red wine every evening but I gave up that ritual for lent. As lent comes to a close, I look forward to enjoying some wine again. Tomorrow. It’s a date. Inflight. I’m all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Let’s go!
