Weekends are an absolute delight for us all aren't they? I'm especially thrilled cos it's been crazy busy lately.
African prints are having quite a moment and I'm pretty stoked about that. Embraced by Beyonce, Rihanna and tons of fashion gals and designers, this trend is sweeping the globe. I love how playful and colorful they are.
I have to admit that much as I love ankara pieces, I am a little fuzzy on styling them. My friend Chinny sent me this top a little over a year ago and it's been hanging in my closet. I was invited to an African party and thought my lovely ankara top with its cute ruffle and flare peplum would be a perfect way to get my feet wet with this trend.
I paired it with a turtle neck top and a pair of jeans cos the chill is here, I kid you not. I love how it turned out but I’ll let you be the judge.
Mice Update
I did mention here that I of all people, found mice in the classroom last week, one of the gazillion reasons I was excited for last weekend. Like I don't almost throw a party in anticipation of each weekend's arrival. I'm happy to report that the exterminators came in and determined it was just one mouse. They found and removed it. From what I understand it was a baby mouse ( like I care, mice are mice, period!) but I'm very relieved and starting to gradually feel relaxed in kinder Room 102 again.
Thought you'd like to know, :).
