With the cold season comes the resurgence of coats, jackets and trenches. Trench coats are a perfect transitional piece, great for layering and a definite Fall essential. It's versatile and adds layers of chic to a look.
The timeless khaki trench has become a classic and almost every girl can boast of having at least one of those in her closet and if you're one of the trench obsessed, it's safe to say you must own different versions of what is essentially the same item. We ain't mad at you!
The trench has become more popular with each passing year and the plethora of designs out there coupled with wears by celebrities have made them the 'cool' pieces to be seen in. What's not to love about them anyhow?
Today I'm showing an exciting trench coat that leans into an autumnal color scheme with its rich orange color. I've actually owned this piece for many years. I diy'ed the extended wide sleeves just to add interest and update the piece. Red and orange is a combo I've come to like very much so I added a wide red obi belt to the mix just as a styling option. I finished the look with block heels, a red bag and a pair of white sunnies.
Have you added any new trench coats to your Fall/ Winter rotation? How are you styling them?
Your thoughts?

Thank you for stopping by, keep thinking the purple thoughts. Xx...
Love this bright orange on you. I really need to add a new trench coat to my wardrobe.

Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you're using?
ReplyDeleteI'm looking to start my own blog soon but I'm having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution annd Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for something unique.
P.S My apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!
That orange trench looks great on you. It's wonderful you had it for many years. Nothing is more fun that styling old and/or trusted pieces in our wardrobe. The white shirt is always a good addition to any outfit as well. I do like how to styled this orange trench with a red bag and belt. What to say about those gorgeous MK block heels? Seriously, those shoes are so fabulous, they caught my eye immediately. I love the design and they even look comfy. For me a chunky heel is always the most comfy one. It's great they are trendy again.
