Certain very saturated colors are unappealing to me, period! Hello FI readers, welcome back. I hope everyone’s had a great weekend. I did, rainy as it's been in my little corner of the universe.

l enjoy wearing winter brights, in a world where darks are the default hues for winter. Social conventions? Practicality? Aesthetics? I say a combination of all these factors and more. I however determine what I wear, not the season of the year and I make a conscious decision not to let the dreariness of winter creep into my wardrobe and have me looking like I dressed for a funeral. Or dressed like a shadow even, lol. That not withstanding, I tend to stay away from reds and oranges. They honestly don’t look flattering on me. You know how you just know certain colors are not right for you? That’s exactly the case for me with very warm colors. This time it's orange. I lucked out and ended up loving this look. Fun and playful as it is, orange is definitely NOT becoming the new black for me anytime soon.

I must confess that naturally orange was not my first choice to pair this beautiful skirt with. I had picked out a crisp buttoned up preppy looking white shirt. To add pops of color, I did my makeup similar to how I had it in my last post with very subtle changes to the lip and glitter color. I was good to go until a coffee spill happened and it was on to plan B, orange, hehe. At the end of the day, this top in a happy color kept me energized, warm and paired well with the structured bronze skirt.

I finished off the look with spiky bronze heels, a feather clutch, and a fur collar.

How are you soldiering on this winter? The groundhog did see it's shadow. Yay for peeling off the layers as we welcome Spring in six short weeks, :)...

This is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful.... so so fashion forward... metals n furs, juxtaposition that creates a heck of delicious harmony... the legs on you my dame is outta this world... that's the best accompaniment needed to flaunt that gorgeous skirt... without them legs, those skirts are nothing... eye drama on fleek as always...
