Vegas Baby!

Hey Peeps, so you’re here, Great! I had fun with this week’s post, sitting outside waiting for my ride to the airport. How about you hang out for a minute and have a look. Destination Sin City! Hey, I had a little bit of Vegas-y fun for ‘us’ all. I promise, Ha! Trying to condense my luggage was pointless. Win some, lose some, I definitely lost this one. My ootd was a red short sleeve dress. It had a sense of classic simplicity to it that I loved so much. I paired it with 6” leopard heels and an orange scarf around my neck like the red wasn’t bright enough, Ha! Although It’s not quite coat weather and the winter staples are still shelved, I pulled out and wore a jacket over my dress to keep warm inflight. I was looking effortlessly chic and stylishly Idu, ;).

My makeup was a little subtle. I love the look quite a bit and plan on doing it again soon, very soon. To achieve it, I used Blanc type as my highlight and lid color, Swiss Chocolate on my crease and Carbon to cut the crease. For the blown out effect on my outer and inner corners, I used Fascinating eye pencil with some Gesso shadow over it. I hardly ever contour and highlight because it takes some artistry to master and I don’t believe I’m quite there yet (Help! somebody, anybody, LOL). I gave it a shot tho, using Blunt Blush to contour and Bright Forecast highlighting pen to highlight. Iducation: try using a contouring kit, they have all the shades you need, the dark mattes for contouring and the shimmery lighter shades for highlighting all in one palette. I just invested in one by Smashbox, easier to manage. But if you already have some taupe and beige shades then by all means use those. On my lips I had Mac Candy Yum Yum and Embrace Me lip liner. Embrace Me was a limited color, More to Love gives just about the same effect. I was ready to face the world, POW!
