Stepping Into 2016

I shoulda coulda woulda worn a sequined outfit with crystalized tights that screamed ‘Yes Please’  to this new year's eve event and afterwards to watch fireworks outdoors at the SF Embarcadero. My daughter said 'over the top mom', ‘who cares, I was born to wear this’ I retorted jokingly. I dressed up in the sheer sparkle and glam dress, stepped out and the crisp temps said 'no uh'.


It was an insanely frigid evening. So much so it was a challenge. What was a gal to do? Look super hot and be freezing cold or be sensible, warm and chic? I made a U-turn and instead of that, I rang in the new year in this bright red draped silk skirt with a gold zipper running down the back and a blended velvet burn out top with gold zippered long sleeves.

To add an oomph and a festive factor to my look, I went for sexy stretch lace thigh high boots that were a total HIT just like these ones were here and here. These otk boots have my heart wholly tucked away this winter, can you tell, hehe. It was still so friggin cold regardless of me being covered from my neck to my toes. The white fur coat helped keep me a tad warmer while staying chic. It was a little too late to do my makeup over to go with this second outfit, :(. Oh well.

Resolutions for 2016? It seems like yesterday when I posted about New Year here and resolutions here.  I'm not resolving to move mountains, turn water into wine or walk on water in 2016. I will however try not to waste time, especially with trivialities. I'll keep pushing, keep living and not just existing, keep loving, keep laughing and staying my happy self.

Realization though? My not so new realization is that everything, be it good, bad or ugly happens for a really good reason and sooner or later, the picture is made crystal clear and the puzzle pieces fit perfectly. The inevitable 'Aha' moment. So be of good cheer always, enjoy the positives and don't ever sweat the negatives. Keep it moving. I’m a highly intuitive being and I tend to see or feel things even before they come to pass. So much so it scares me sometimes. Some say it’s a gift.

I saw it all, felt it all, heard it all and liiiived it all in 2015. I stayed calm through all the lows for strength is borne in calmness. I’ve picked myself up from situations, dusted myself off and moved forward ever ever ever so happily might I add (dancing emoji). And... and... and... and (batting my fake lashes) I reveled (dancing emoji again, gosh I love emojis!) in my highs, enjoyed a glass of red wine good fortune cocktail to those and stayed ever so grateful.

So my not so new and not so formal resolution is to keep pushing and to keep living and loving life like I’ve always done. And most importantly, to not waste time, for time is what life is made up of and I love life, darn it!

I’m so thankful to have lots and lots of genuine and really good people around me and that includes y’all. My apologies to all the wonderful brands that have reached out to collaborate with me and I haven't had time to cos being an educator is very demanding. I appreciate you believing in me though and will strive to make it work this year. Thank you all for a great 2015, cheers to an even greater 2016. Hope you pop pop popped that champagne last night, hahaa.

Wow, this is like my briefest post, hahahaaa. Gotta go, there’s life to be lived. And no time to be wasted, ;).
