To hat or not to hat?
Fascinators have been enjoying a moment in fashion. Mounted on a clip, a head band, a pill box or an elastic strap, I am a huge fan of the fancy headgear. They are very popular at Summer weddings, Kentucky Derby and parties but who says you can't have a fabulous twisted piece of raffia finished with bold colored feathers dipping down low over one eye in the Winter? A perfect way to add a pop of color for that holiday party and most importantly feed
my
fascination with fascinators!
Speaking of weddings, fascinators like you know are quite popular with British royals and I can't wait to see the display of breathtaking fascinators at Meghan and Harry's wedding in May! Just like royal weddings past, it will be a case of old standing tradition meet opulence!
To answer the question like it's not obvious (eye roll) I chose to hat! This show stopping and unique creation is from another great milliner. It had just the right amount of oomph to elevate my look without giving out overkill vibes and made a perfect topper for my Sashes Couture maxi dress.
I hope you all had a great Christmas. Here's wishing everyone a very Happy New Year 2K18!

Your stylization is a work of art, you look amazing!!! I'm a big fan of fascinators too but in my country they are not very popular. Your's is amazing, dress also!!!! Have a great fun on NYE my dear!
ReplyDeleteI have a fascination with fascinators as well! This one is particularly gorgeous, so eye-catching and dramatic. I used to make jewelry but I can't recall whether I have actually ever made a fascinator. Perhaps I did, I'm really not sure. I might make some in the future, because I do think they are absolutely fabulous!
ReplyDeleteRoyals do wear fascinators a lot, don't they? Perhaps because they are related to hats, and fashionable hats are a must for royals and nobility? You certainly look royal in this attire. It is so refreshing to see colour in winter. Why we shouldn't wear colourful looks once it gets colder, if that is what we enjoy? For me personally, colours seem to be the perfect way to bring in some warmth into winter fashion.
This dress is a dream. Striped matched with floral print? Yes, please. You always have the most inspiring looks, dear Idu. You look stunning!!!!
P.S. I wish you all the best in 2018!
