An understated, chic, edgy and universally flattering hue, black isn’t exactly a color and has an undeniable power.
It’s commonly used as a mourning color in many cultures. When draped on religious orders, it connotes seriousness. Worn as a black cloak for a witch costume, it spells sinister. And as a leather jacket on a biker, it comes across as rebellious. Worn as a little black dress, it spells endless chic and sexy.
The bomber jacket remains the frontrunner for transitional periods. One with floral appliqué that adds a little something extra is a must have for spring. I’ve had this one for a little over a year and it’s easily becoming one of my off duty go to’s.
The frilly detail adds an oomph to this effortless date night appropriate piece. It can be paired with black jeans like I’m showing today for huge doses of edgy, slacks or a pencil skirt, over a dress, the possibilities are truly endless.
I finished my look with a pair of feminine ankle boots that pop and a shoulder bag.

I love the floral embroidery on the jacket. Most of my florals are black, I like that it counteracts the cuteness of the pattern, making me feel more comfortable in it.

ReplyDeleteYou nailed this black in the springtime look. I do love this jacket, the embroidery detail really stands against the black background. The ruffles add a nice note of femininity. Moreover, I do like the black jeans you've styled this jacket with. A lovely pairing for sure! The SL bag and the MB stiletto boots are a stunning combo as well. Gorgeous on their own, they look fabulously stylish in this outfit. Perfect accessories. All in all, such a perfect look! Special love for the hairdo. You look beautiful in such a powerful way!!!
