Hello December!

’Tis the season! For some, Christmas is just another holiday. For others it’s huge and they make a big fuss of it. They see it as an opportunity to get together with family and friends and so it calls for big planning ahead of time.

Are you giving a holiday party? In your home for that warm cozy family vibe or elsewhere? Decided on a theme and colors? Are you sticking with a classic theme with red as the central color? Have you planned your festive menu? Don’t forget to include all the sweet holiday treats. Taken out your Nat King Cole - The Christmas Song album yet? Or Mariah Carey Merry Christmas Album? And have you set it to the track 'All I want for Christmas is you’? Did you get that Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir candle yet? Gift giving is exhausting in terms of time and $, have you decided on what you’ll be giving? Have your list on you at all times, you never know when and where the festive shopping mood will hit. What ever you decide to do I say start early to make a list and check it twice to be sure all you need to host a magnificent holiday is accounted for.

Most importantly what are you going to wear? Here are some holiday outfit inspirations that will tell your LBD to take several seats as it may not make the cut  this season.

This red and gold look definitely makes a festive statement. Pair with red accessories as shown for an extra oomph, winner!

Reinvent the term 'white Christmas' in a fine, white and sophisticated outfit like this awesome piece by Valentino. Heads are sure to turn as you walk in.

Two awesome holiday colors come together to make this unique and stylish fit by Dolce & Gabbana. You can't go wrong with high waist and mini. Gold accessories will help you catch the holiday spirit if watching a classic Christmas movie didn't already do that., :).

You'd look absolutely perfect in a full and luxurious skirt paired with a crop top like this one by Katie Emillio. Monochrome it or throw in different colored accessories for a cool and trendy twist.

The cape and wide leg lends some drama to this otherwise minimalist suit by Giambattista Valle. To pull off a look inspired by this, switch out the nude lippy for a bold red and give the bag a run for its money in terms of color pop.

Get it right in an off shoulder sexy bandage feminine and chic red dress like this one by Kourvosieur Apparel. Red screams celebrate and works great with a lot of skin tones. Definitely meant to capture attention, go dazzle!

High low hem makes this stunning Giambattista Valle dress in a classic red a winner. Keep an outfit like this simple and classy with minimal accessories. The dress is such a statement piece and needs no competition.

This suit by Giorgio Armani screams diss the pant suit and opt instead for shorts in a classic holiday color red.  The slight flared out top adds a touch of feminity to this look. A fun twist to a classic look, very cool.

Gold dresses are definitely in season. Go long or go home in a beautiful formal gold gown like this one that puts the 'G' in glamour.  The beautiful statement collar calls for a bare neck to make it stand out even more. Complete the look with toned down gold accessories to avoid being overdone. Shine!

Is finding the perfect holiday dress your 'Nightmare Before Christmas'?  I hope you've been inspired by these beautiful pieces to reinvent an outfit you already own or go shopping for one? I know you will look fab any which way.

My favorite look? In the absence of a black velvet dress, paired with gold accessories, I'd get my inspiration from the second look. A structured dress in Winter white finished off with rhinestone studded tiara - I say FAB!
'Tis the season! Sparkle and shine and see you next time, Xo...

  8. I'm loving the Giambattista Valle look because it is chic enough for any occasion, but eye-catching and not boring.
