Tiered Pleated Skirt + Print Sheer Top

The love for sheer fabrics has been sweeping the fashion world. A scroll down timelines reveal a plethora of sheer frocks that leave nothing to the imagination. From the runways to high street, designers have changed the once forbidden VPL (visible panty line) to VP (visible panty).

While sheers have become the 'go to' fabric, pulling them off can be tricky sometimes. I'm honestly not a huge fan of baring it all but on the other hand, linings take away from the beauty of sheers. So to keep from giving the world a peep show in this lovely top kindly sent me from Fifinneji, I went for a full coverage bra/cami, one of the easiest ways to keep this fabric in one's radar without tossing decency out the window. Full coverage knickers would also be my personal preference if I had to wear sheer bottoms.
You?

How about this for an eye catchy and insanely chic skirt to go with the gorgeous top? We've all known and loved tiered/ ruffled sleeves, now their sartorial flouncy successors are here and I am a huge fan. This one is very feminine and can take you from day time to night time. I finished the look with a belt, an alluring pair of ankle boots and a graphic clutch I felt was a good match for the look -DRAMA.
I hope you like this ensemble as much as I do.

  1. Sheer trend is a lot of fun and there are many ways to wear it. Like with every trend, I think we need to adjust it to suit ourselves and make sure we're comfortable with what we wear. I do love that sheer blouse. The print makes it even more catching and I love its cut. The skirt you paired it with is stunning as well. I love structural pieces like that. Such a gorgeous outfit from head to toe. You're always the queen of style.

  2. Love the statement sleeves with the ruffle skirt, it's a really nice outfit. I have to confess though that your clutch is my favourite part of your outfit - it's so fun! :)

Hope that you had a wonderful weekend :) We had a birthday party for my eldest so it was a bit busy, but lots of fun.

  4. I would wear that top with a full tank top because, as much as I like it, I couldn't pull off your bra/cami style. I'm too self-unconscious to even attempt it. The skirt, I love, love love--if only it were longer length (5'11" footer here). Gorgeous outfit, particularly the wearer. Love the "Drama [Queen]" clutch too. xoxo

  9. I would wear a sheer shirt like this, with a full coverage bra underneath, but even with full coverage knickers I would probably not wear a see thorugh skirt or pants.

  25. I'm a huge fan of sheer blouses! I usually wear them with blush/nude bras or bodysuits, but they definitely are tricky to pull off. On a side note, those shoes are an absolute masterpiece!
