It’s the dawn of a new school year and that means new kids, new families, new ideas and getting back into the swing of things. I met my 25 now down to 22 new students whom I expect to make huge gains in all areas of the curriculum a little over two weeks ago, and I’m looking forward to a fun filled year in Kinderville with them.
Pretty much every one knows the September ritual aka ‘back to school night’ that marks the official start of the school year. Teachers get to meet, greet and connect with the new crop of parents and talk about the goals for the year, programs, any new adoptions, classroom management, volunteering in and out of the classroom, district policies, available resources, how wonderful their little darlings are and all that good stuff. Well this informational night happened last night on Thursday Sept. 10th. If it wasn’t quite clear that summer vacation was over, it is now.
This event typically happens between 6 and 8pm so Thursday was a long long day as you can imagine. And Friday was a busy busy day as you can also imagine if you are familiar with kinder land. All the kinders get to come in the morning instead of the usual am/pm sessions. Meaning there were 44 kiddos in the classroom. I love a challenge, so I really do enjoy a big group but it’s so draining. Feeling like I was run over by an 18 wheeler doesn't begin to accurately describe how I feel. So I will keep this post short and sweet so I can go catch up on much needed rest. Thank goodness for the weekend.
Today I’m showing my back to school night look which is typically classic, professional, modestly stylish and generally well put together. No bold colors. I tone it down, hehe. I'm loving the angled images btw.
As you know, on weekdays I’m up pretty early and in the classroom before 6:30 am especially this early in the school year. I use this great product to set my makeup and that keeps it looking at 2:40pm when I get off work, exactly the same as it looked at 6am when I applied it. Nothing shifts, bleeds, gets oily, fades or loses intensity. These images show my makeup set with this product about 6am with no re apps all day not even oil blotting albeit looking exhausted. A review will be up in a few weeks. I love it, you will too.
