You know I’ve had an itch to wear red a lot lately but red on red on red! An overdose of drama and glamour. An aesthetic delight. Bold, fiery, bright and beautiful if I say so myself, (I said that here too, hehe). Ok ok, how about - RAVISHING. SEXY. It’s been nothing short of an amazing month, a celebration of me, a celebration of red.

Can I just gush some more? This look in my opinion is so absurdly wonderful! Stellar! Divine! Perfect! Jaw droopingly beautiful! Speaks volumes without saying a word. I could go on and on. How else would you describe it? Total score right? Thanks to my friend Dwight of Vindictive By D Anthony for this piece. If you follow me on the gram, you should have seen a clip of the top in the making, amazing!

I honestly won’t mind waking up like this every morning. On matching red luxurious beddings drowned in lots and lots of frilly red pillows. A fresh scent from a bouquet of long stem red roses filling the air. Gosh how I love red roses. And how enchanting the color red is becoming from where I stand. I feel me drifting off in a red world. Eyes shut with only red in vision. Come back Idu! Hehe.

Wearing one shade head to toe isn’t a no-no, it’s actually encouraged. How I love a monochrome look and how I have mastered the art of colorful dressing but never feel like red is my thing. But I've seen monochrome red looks appear so impeccable. If you choose to, you may tone reds down with neutrals to avoid looking over done. I did, with the lip color.

Are you digging it? Did your heart literally skip a couple beats? I bet you can’t help but love it too, just like me.

The month that comes 'in like a lion and out like a lamb' is coming to a close. I chose to begin and end my birth month dressed in red. Like I stated earlier, it’s been an amazing March despite being a lil sick two weeks ago. Thanks again for all the goodwill.

Heading out on vacation to Istanbul and Santorini tomorrow and look forward to having great Spring Break getaway with my friend.

You know what else I look forward to? Drinking wine! I drink a glass of red wine every evening but I gave up that ritual for lent. As lent comes to a close, I look forward to enjoying some wine again. Tomorrow. It’s a date. Inflight. I’m all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Let’s go!

…back to street style looks.

I get a lot of questions on how/where to purchase Vindictive pieces. The are available, hit me up on the gram, here or on fb.
Leave a comment below and let me know you stopped by.

Have a very happy Easter dressed in gorgeous pastels.

By the way, tea anyone?

The Tale of Red

"Screw Labor Day and Memorial Day, wear white whenever and however you like".
After all it’s that time of the year when the sun teases us into thinking it’s Summer even though the temps say otherwise. Through all that sunshine the rain has also been coming down like we are in the middle of the Amazon somewhere.

Capes are not just for superheroes anymore. Infact they're hugely present in vintage fashion and have gone mainstream fashion popping up everywhere. I don’t know of a lot of gals that don’t own at least one cape dress. They add interest to a look. This lil cape of mine added an oomph to an otherwise simple and straight cut jumpsuit while maintaining a clean, minimal silhouette - understated elegance, totally!

I’ve been down with a cold. One of the downsides of working with kids. One kid gets a cold and we all get it, all it takes is one sneeze. I probably sound like a broken record reminding the kiddos to sneeze into the bend of their elbows. So I've been home nursing a cold that has every symptom in the book, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes, stuffy nose.

Didn’t I mention here that March is burnout month for educators? Yes, we all are getting cross-eyed testing kids, inputting test scores in the system and working on second trimester report cards. That was my week. Long and hard. I’m taking it all in stride, it’s still March and I’m still so unabashedly excited and celebrating my entire birth month, :)). #NotLettingAnythingBurstMyBubble.
I hope your week was way better than mine.

Seen the movie Zootopia yet? I saw it 3D and I loved every minute. Many lessons learned too. I won’t spoil it for you, just go see it.

Today I’m showing another birthday look wearing a jumpsuit and cape designed for me by Zoearku. I paired it with an amazing statement necklace from Takai By Angela, studded pink and gold heels (my favorite of all the shoes I own) that unfortunately didn’t really show and a pink clutch. What's not to love, :))).

My last post was so lengthy and I applaud you for reading. I’m keeping this very short and sweet, ;).

Your thoughts?
